Fun in the Lab
Miguel Munoz and Vicky Montiel-Palma, faculty members in 海角社区's Department of Chemistry, demonstrate a chemical reaction between dry ice, heat and magnesium.聽 The professors hosted the K-12 students聽through the for聽Ciencia en Vivo.聽The summer lab experience included guided experiments with dry ice and liquid nitrogen where the students learned to make ice cream similar to Dippin' Dots. They also聽used the art of chromatography to create their own slime.
